Hello and welcome to you today.
Today is my DT day for the fabulous
Well we had such a fab time at the GNPE Harrogate show last weekend, Helen, Mark and myself meet so many inspirational and very talented crafters and lots of new stampers got to try the amazing
Visible Image Stamps as I love to see their faces when they try the stamps for the first time. To get a crisp stamped image is no effort at all and I heard all weekend was "OMG WOW" "they are effortless". what made my weekend was seeing a ladies face that hasn't been able to use her stamps as she had an operation on her hand a few months ago but she was happy to try them and the smile on her face said it all. She then had lots of fun trying to decide which gorgeous quality stamps she was going to buy. I love meeting all the crafters from the social media sites to its so nice to be able to speak face to face and share idea's :).
Today im going to share two little makes from the show.
The first was an absolute honour to make as Mark Watt designed the
Free Your Imagination Set himself and it was released back last Novemeber, but over our evening meal he shared with me what he had in mind when he designed the set, so on the second day of the show I made his idea, so here it is just for you.
Such a simple card to make to achieve the missing part of the feather all you have to do is to ink up your stamp and on the feather before you stamp it place a piece of postit note over the bit of the stamp you want to block out, and hey presto there you have it then stamp the birds from the set once at the start of the feather and then twice and so on to the edge of the card, I used clear embossing powder over the ink splat to make it look wet and finished it off with the
Free your imagination sentiment and mat and layered it onto brown and black card with a little distress ink around the edges. I think this would make a great male card.
As a crafter what a total honour to create a project from the designers idea and I hope I achieved what he intended it to be. He is a very talented Designer and maker of these first class quality stamps they really are like no other on the market. A crisp clear image from the very first go without no effort what so ever, no more having to put so much pressure to get you image to stamp out. If you really don't believe me then I hope you will give them a try as you will honestly be left wanting more.
Here is the second I made from the
A very simple make using faded jean distress ink along with twinking silver wow embossing powder and black achival ink and mat and layer onto silver and black card.
Other Visible Image stamp used is the
With Sympathy which is from Set 8 of More than words.
Visible Image are the very first company to make it so easy for us crafters when it comes to sentiments as you can pick and choose your very own sentiment sets OMG WOW WOW WOW now how much crafty pennies is that going to save us, just being able to have exactly what we want.
