Creative Blog Hop

Creative Blog Hop

I was asked by the lovely Carol Bignall to join in with the Creative Bloggers Hop. The hop happens every Monday with lots of inspirational bloggers taking part every week.
Now for the questions
1. What am I working on?

At the moment I am doing lots of prep for IndigoBlu.

2.How does my work differ from others in my genre?

I wouldn't say my work differ's from others at all but hope crafters enjoy what I do.

3. Why do I write/create what I do?

Simply because I love to create what I do as it puts a smile on my face.

4. How does your writing/creative process work?

I either have something in my head i'd like to create or I find inspiration from a item i see.

Now onto the 3 Wonderful Bloggers I picked to carry the baton next week.

I've know Fran for a few years now we meet through crafting
She is an all round talented Crafter and truly an inspiration.

I meet Rachel when she walked into my craft class nearly 2 years ago
She is such a talented lady and truly inspirational.

Kerrie
I meet Kerrie though crafting she is such a lovely lady and has a
huge talent when it comes to colouring, truly inspirational.

So that's my contribution to the Creative Blog Hop and it's now down to these ladies next week!

Thanks for stopping by.

To make the fence stand out as a stopper for the easel all I did was cut two slits in the flower paper and cut the fence posts longer then scored them and pushed them through the slits and stuck them down before matting onto the pink gingham paper.

Beach Huts - Imagination Crafts

Hello and welcome to you today.
I hope you have been having lots of crafty fun.
I'm busy busy at the moment really need some more hours in the day.
We are half way through August already WOW time flies when your having fun.

We are also half way through the latest challenge over at

We have had some fabulous entries already but with such a fab prize on offer if you have not entered yet, what are you waiting for ;).........
Here is a little piece of inspiration from me
Hope you like it.

One thing about living at the seaside is there is always lots of sand.

I have used the
Beach Huts Stencil
First I used distress inks with my stencil to make the scene.
Then I taped the scene in the middle of the mount.
I added the sand into the frame then placed the mount on top and sealed the frame closed so the sand wont't fall out.

Such a simple piece but so effective
It is now proudly hanging on my daughters bathroom wall and i'm already making another for my wall.
(The frame is from Ikea).

Head on over to the Blog for some super inspiration from the talented DT
We would love you to come and say HI.

Thanks so much for stopping by today
I hope you will pop by again soon.

Life's a Beach - Imagination Crafts Challenge

Wow it's August already how time flies.

Thanks to everyone who entered the July challenge over at
Superb Entries and I have to say well done to you all for entering.
A new month brings a new challenge.

I just couldn't resist the Beach Huts stencil for this challenge.
I have also used the fabulous Stencil Paints to create the scene.
I bought these stencil paints several years ago and thought it was time to get the out to play with.

How to make this.

Take a blank 6x6 piece of cardstock and tape your stencil onto it.

Using a sponge or stencil brush cover all the open area's of the stencil in the different colour paints and then leave to dry.

Mat some stripe paper onto dark blue card and wrap some mesh around the middle before you mat it onto you blank 8x8 card.

Once your stencil has dried go around the edges with Tumbled glass distress ink and then mat onto dark blue card and add to the rest of your layers.

Finally roll up some mesh wrap with twine an add a button.
****
I hope you like it as much as I do. Now i'm off for a wonder down the beach for some sand for my mid way inspiration so be sure to pop back on the 15th.

Head on over to the Challenge Blog for fabulous inspiration from the DT.
